Rick Bluntzer joined Axeon Interlocal, a subsidiary of Acclaim Energy as the Chief Executive Officer and board member in April of 2021 after spending more than 25 years in the public and government affairs arenas.  Rick brings a wealth of energy industry and leadership experience after serving in senior management roles with the Lower Colorado River Authority, NRG, and Just Energy.

In his new role, Rick will have accountability for developing this new business unit, by leading the development of the organization’s long and short-term strategies, managing its overall operations (programs, products, and service delivery), overseeing the organization’s resources, and driving its financial success.

Rick brings a solid track record of achieving exceptional results by building and leading effective business development and public affairs campaigns. He has an exemplary record of quickly building scale and achieving financial milestones through effective strategic planning, stakeholder relations, and organizational management. In addition to his public affairs background, he has been a key architect in the development and transformation of in-house divisions including Community Relations, Corporate Communications, Human Resources, and Regulatory Affairs at the global level.

Rick holds a BA degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
